ARGAL gives recycled materials a second life

Across all application sectors — particularly in civil and industrial fields — there has been a growing interest and demand in recent years for pumps that ensure energy efficiency and offer increasingly eco-friendly solutions. Since 2004, Italian and European manufacturers have been working toward this goal under the guidance of a project launched by the European association EUROPUMP, known as “EcoPump”. 
 
 

Pumps are a fundamental component in industrial systems and are used across a wide range of sectors. 

 

Over the years, ARGAL has taken part in various projects aimed at improving and developing solutions tailored to market needs — in terms of quality, cost, and full environmental compliance. Through this innovation initiative focused on supply chain development and integration into the circular economy, ARGAL succeeded in creating a production process that reuses scrap panels from other manufacturers. This has enabled the company to offer solutions made with over 50% recycled material and with energy consumption reduced to nearly zero.

In short, this project offers advantages both from a production and application standpoint: 

  • Replacement of metal components with more durable composite elements 
  • Complete elimination of corrosion 
  • Reduction in final cost and production time 
  • Significant decrease in energy consumption and required processing
