Filtration (Fish farming)

The last step in the application of the RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) is water filtration: through a heating or cooling system (depending on the required temperatures) a heat or cooling pump conveys the water to another tank where a filtration pump helps the mechanical filter to separate waste and residues (excrement, carbon dioxide, ammonia) from the water before recirculating to the first step (filtration tank).
